150 mm Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope with a 1800 mm focal length and f/12 focal ratio. The Sky-Watcher Skymax 150 Pro OTA combines a low-expansion borosilicate primary mirror, RAQ and MHTC coatings, 2-inch diagonal and integrated T2 thread.
Designed for high-resolution observation, the Sky-Watcher Skymax 150 Pro OTA uses a 150 mm Maksutov-Cassegrain optical system with a 1800 mm focal length and f/12 focal ratio.
Its long focal length and compact design are particularly suited to detailed observation of the Moon, bright planets and close double stars.
The low-expansion borosilicate primary mirror features Radiant Aluminum Quartz RAQ coatings, while the front meniscus incorporates Sky-Watcher MHTC multi-coatings.
The aluminium optical tube measures only 40 cm in length and weighs 5.6 kg. A 2-inch star diagonal, 28 mm LET eyepiece and 9 × 50 finderscope are supplied.
150 mm Maksutov-Cassegrain Optics
The optical system uses a 150 mm spherical primary mirror combined with a full-aperture meniscus corrector.
The Maksutov-Cassegrain design folds the optical path to provide a 1800 mm focal length within a particularly compact tube.
1800 mm Focal Length at f/12
With its f/12 focal ratio, the Skymax 150 Pro is particularly suited to observations requiring high contrast and magnification.
Sky-Watcher specifically targets detailed lunar observation, bright planets and close double stars.
Borosilicate Primary Mirror
The primary mirror is manufactured from low-expansion borosilicate glass.
This material reduces changes in mirror shape during cool-down and allows the mirror to reach thermal equilibrium more quickly.
Radiant Aluminum Quartz RAQ Coating
The primary and secondary mirrors feature Sky-Watcher Radiant Aluminum Quartz RAQ coatings.
Sky-Watcher specifies 94% reflectivity together with protective layers designed for long-term durability.
MHTC Coating
The front meniscus features Sky-Watcher Metallic High-Transmission Coatings MHTC.
This multi-coating system is designed to maximise light transmission through the corrector.
2-Inch Star Diagonal
A 90° 2-inch star diagonal is supplied.

Integrated T2 Thread
The optical tube incorporates a T2 thread for attaching a compatible camera with the appropriate T-ring.
