127 mm Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope with 1359 mm focal length and f/10.7 focal ratio. The Acuter Voyager MAK127-FAST features a dual-knob friction focusing system, 20 mm wide-angle eyepiece and smartphone adapter.
Designed to combine a compact optical system with a long focal length, the Acuter Voyager MAK127-FAST uses a 127 mm Maksutov-Cassegrain optical design with a 1359 mm focal length and f/10.7 focal ratio.
Acuter particularly recommends the telescope for observing double stars, lunar surface detail and bright planets. The optical system features broadband multi-coatings designed to maximise image contrast and sharpness.
FAST Focusing System
The FAST designation refers to the specific focusing system developed for this range.
Instead of the conventional focusing knob commonly used on Maksutov-Cassegrain telescopes, the Voyager MAK127-FAST features a friction-drive mechanism operated by two focusing knobs. Focusing is achieved by moving the primary mirror.
Focus-Distance Indicator
The focusing mechanism includes a scale indicating approximate focus positions.
Three references are provided: 16 m, 32 m and infinity. This allows the focuser to be moved quickly towards the approximate position required before final focusing.
127 mm Aperture
With its stated 127 mm aperture, the Voyager MAK127-FAST is suitable for detailed views of the Moon, bright planets and double stars.
