Description

The Askar 0.6x reducer for the 103APO is an advanced optical accessory engineered to take advantage of the modular tube design of the Askar 103APO refractor. By removing the rear tube section when using this reducer, the system reaches a focal length of 420.24 mm and a fast f4.08 focal ratio, making it highly suitable for wide-field deep-sky imaging.

Its quadruplet optical design provides a fully corrected field across a 44 mm full-frame image circle, ensuring excellent star sharpness and uniformity from center to edge. The standard 55 mm back focus from the M48 male thread allows straightforward integration with most astrophotography cameras. The reducer features an M84x1 front thread and includes M68x1, M54x0.75, and M48x0.75 adapters for flexible mechanical connections. An internal M48 2-inch filter thread enables direct filter installation. Precision CNC machining and threaded metal caps on both ends ensure durability and effective optical protection.
