The Askar 0.8x reducer for the 103APO is a dedicated optical accessory engineered to maximize the imaging performance of the Askar 103APO refractor. By reducing the focal length to 560.32 mm and the focal ratio to f5.44, it delivers a wider corrected field of view and shorter exposure times, making it ideal for large nebulae, star clusters, and faint deep-sky objects.
Its triplet optical design ensures a fully corrected field across a 44 mm full-frame image circle, maintaining star sharpness and consistency from the center to the edges. The standard 55 mm back focus from the M48 male thread allows seamless integration with most astronomical cameras. Precision CNC machining, an M84x1 front thread, and an integrated M48 internal 2-inch filter thread provide mechanical reliability and direct filter compatibility. Threaded metal caps protect the optics when not in use.
