Description

The Askar 103APO 1x corrector has been specifically optimized for use with the Askar 103APO apochromatic refractor. It maintains the resulting focal length of 700.4 mm and the native f/6.8 focal ratio, without altering magnification, while delivering a fully corrected field suitable for demanding astrophotography applications.

Its optical design is based on a triplet configuration, enabling precise correction of field curvature and coma. This ensures fine, well-controlled star shapes across the entire 44 mm full-frame image circle, making it fully compatible with modern large-format sensors.

The corrector features a standard mechanical back focus of 55 mm measured from the base of the M48 male thread, simplifying integration into common imaging trains. The mechanical interfaces include an M84x1 front thread on the telescope side and rear adapters in M54x0.75 and M48x0.75, with an integrated internal M48 filter thread for 2-inch filters. Precision CNC machining and threaded metal protective caps ensure durability and optical protection when not in use.
