The Antlia Solar Discover Dualband Ha CaK CaH Filter Assembly Standard is a complete system designed for solar photosphere imaging. It improves contrast and sharpness in solar images while making surface details, sunspots and solar faculae more visible.
The assembly includes an Antlia Energy Rejection Filter that blocks ultraviolet and infrared radiation while transmitting Ha 656.3 nm, CaK 393.3 nm and CaH 396.8 nm wavelengths. A neutral density filter is also factory installed inside the tube.
The design uses a fully enclosed tube structure. The telescope connects at one end and the camera at the other. The filters are housed inside a completely closed tube, CNC machined from aircraft grade aluminum and anodized, to prevent any stray light leakage.
Compared with traditional solar reduction films, this system provides higher contrast, better solar surface resolution, improved wear resistance, simple operation and extended service life for solar imaging equipment.
The Standard version is compatible with 1.25 inch and 2 inch adapters, making telescope and camera connection easier.
When using a diagonal, the ERF filter must be installed in the correct position according to the manufacturer installation diagram. For telescopes with an aperture larger than 100 mm, additional light reduction is required, such as an additional ERF filter, solar safety film or telescope aperture reduction. Without an additional solution, this system is limited to refractors up to 100 mm aperture.
Antlia does not recommend this product for visual observation for technical and safety reasons. Any visual use requires all integrated filters to be in good condition. Disassembly of the assembly is prohibited and voids the warranty.
