Description

The Askar 160APO 1x flattener is exclusively optimized for use with the Askar 160APO refractor. It does not alter the telescope’s focal length or focal ratio, maintaining a resulting focal length of 1120 mm and an f/7 focal ratio after installation. It provides effective corrected field and coma correction, ensuring fine and consistent star shapes across the entire full-frame sensor.

The optical system is based on a triplet design and supports a full-frame 44 mm image circle. A standard 55 mm back focus is measured from the base of the M48 male thread, ensuring compatibility with most astrophotography cameras. The flattener features an M92x1 front thread and is supplied with M68x1, M54x0.75, and M48x0.75 adapters. A built-in M48x0.75 2-inch filter thread is located on the camera side. The entire unit is CNC-machined and protected by threaded metal caps.
