150 mm ED apochromatic doublet refractor with a 1200 mm focal length and f/8 focal ratio. The Sky-Watcher Evostar 150EDX features a CNC-machined 3-inch dual-speed 11:1 rack-and-pinion focuser, 360° rotation and retractable dew shield.
Designed for astrophotography and visual observation, the Sky-Watcher Evostar 150EDX uses a 150 mm ED apochromatic doublet with a 1200 mm focal length and f/8 focal ratio.
Its ED glass element provides strong chromatic correction, while MHTC coatings provide stated light transmission approaching 99.5%.
The CNC-machined dual-speed 11:1 rack-and-pinion focuser features a 3-inch indexed drawtube with an integrated 360° rotatable adapter.
The aluminium optical tube incorporates internal baffling, a retractable dew shield, tube rings with a top accessory rail that also serves as a carrying handle, and a 75 mm dovetail bar.
150 mm ED Apochromatic Doublet
The 150 mm objective uses an apochromatic doublet design incorporating one ED glass element.
This configuration greatly reduces chromatic aberration and provides sharp, high-contrast images.
