Acuter Voyager MAK127-FAST Traverse Pro

Designed as a complete and easily transportable observing system, the Acuter Voyager MAK127-FAST Traverse Pro combines a 127 mm Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope with the computerised Acuter Traverse Pro GoTo mount.

With a 1359 mm focal length and f/10.7 focal ratio, the optical tube is particularly suited to observing double stars, lunar surface detail and bright planets.

The Traverse Pro provides automatic object positioning and can be controlled wirelessly from a smartphone or tablet using the Acuter Sky App.

127 mm Maksutov-Cassegrain Optics

The Voyager MAK127-FAST uses a 127 mm Maksutov-Cassegrain optical design with a 1359 mm focal length.

Its optical system is broadband multi-coated to maximise image contrast and sharpness.

The f/10.7 focal ratio provides a long focal length within a compact optical tube.

FAST Focusing System

The FAST system uses a friction-drive focusing mechanism operated by two focusing knobs.

Focusing is achieved by moving the primary mirror and the mechanism incorporates a focus-distance indicator for quickly reaching an approximate focus position.

Three reference positions are provided: 16 m, 32 m and infinity.

Traverse Pro GoTo Mount

The Acuter Traverse Pro provides computerised automatic telescope positioning.

Its maximum payload capacity is 5 kg and it uses a 45 mm dovetail saddle compatible with the Voyager MAK127-FAST optical tube.

The drive system uses DC servo motors with worm wheel and worm gear transmission.

Over 11,000 Celestial Objects

The Acuter Sky App incorporates a database containing more than 11,000 celestial objects.

After entering the observing location coordinates and completing the alignment procedure, the mount can automatically slew to an object selected through the application.

1, 2 or 3-Star Alignment

The Traverse Pro supports one, two or three-star alignment procedures.

This enables the mount to establish its orientation before using the GoTo system.

Wi-Fi and Bluetooth

Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity are integrated directly into the mount.

The telescope can therefore be controlled wirelessly from a smartphone or tablet without relying on another Wi-Fi network at the observing site.

Acuter Sky App

The mount is controlled using the free Acuter Sky App.

The application supports iOS, Android and compatible Mac computers.

Its touchscreen interface provides access to celestial objects and mount movement controls.

USB-C and SNAP Ports

The Traverse Pro features both USB-C and SNAP ports.

The mount requires a 12 V DC, 1 A centre-positive power supply.

Portable Power Options

A battery pack for eight AA batteries is supplied with the mount. Batteries are not included.

A 12 V booster cable is also included for use with a compatible power bank.

A dedicated power-bank holder bracket is supplied.

Acuter T10 Tripod

The Traverse Pro is supplied with the Acuter T10 tripod.

Its stainless-steel legs use a two-section extendable design.

Height to the top of the mount head ranges from 870 mm with the tripod retracted to 1340 mm when fully extended.

20 mm Wide-Angle Eyepiece

A 20 mm 1.25-inch eyepiece is supplied.

It provides a 70° apparent field of view and 68× magnification with the telescope's 1359 mm focal length.

6 × 30 Optical Finder

A 6 × 30 erect-image optical finderscope is supplied to assist with initial telescope pointing.

90° Star Diagonal

A 90° 1.25-inch star diagonal is included.

A 2-inch to 1.25-inch adapter is also supplied, allowing a compatible optional 2-inch star diagonal to be fitted.

Smartphone Adapter

A universal smartphone camera adapter is supplied with the telescope.

It allows a smartphone to be positioned behind the eyepiece for capturing images of observations.
