Description

The Askar FMA180 Pro has been developed as a compact and high-performance solution for both astrophotography and observation. It features an apochromatic sextuplet optical design with air-spaced lenses, consisting of three elements at the front and three at the rear, including two ED glass elements. This configuration provides effective chromatic aberration correction and forms a solid foundation for high-quality astronomical imaging.

With a 40 mm aperture, a 180 mm focal length, and a fast f4.5 focal ratio, the FMA180 Pro is well suited for wide-field imaging, extended nebulae, and large deep-sky objects. Its 44 mm image circle supports full-frame sensors without significant vignetting.

Compared to the FMA180, the Pro version adds a finder base and a 360-degree rotator, enhancing framing flexibility for astrophotography. The internal focusing mechanism improves mechanical stability and ensures consistent performance when used as a compact precision astrograph.

The rear of the optical tube is equipped with an M48 adapter with a standard 55 mm back focus, allowing direct connection to astrophotography cameras. The multifunctional base supports imaging applications and can also be mounted onto other telescopes’ finder bases after removing the Vixen dovetail plate, enabling use as a guide scope or finder.

The FMA180 Pro is positioned as a lightweight, integrated astrograph dedicated to astrophotography, combining corrected optics, refined mechanics, and versatile mounting options.
