Description

The Askar 60F 0.75x reducer is specifically designed and optimized for the Askar 60F refractor. Once installed, it reduces the focal length to 311 mm and the native focal ratio to f/5.1, providing a wider field of view and shorter exposure times. This makes it especially suitable for imaging large nebulae, dense star clusters, and faint or fast-moving celestial objects.
The optical design is based on a triplet lens configuration that incorporates field-flattening correction and supports a 44 mm full-frame image circle. The standard back focus is 55 mm, measured from the base of the M48 male thread, ensuring easy integration with common imaging setups.
The reducer features M50×1 threads on both the front and rear. The Askar 60F photographic extension tube, supplied with M54×0.75 and M48×0.75 adapters, allows direct and convenient connection. The adapter also includes a built-in M48×0.75 thread for direct attachment of 2-inch filters without additional adapters.
Manufactured using CNC machining, the reducer offers a refined finish and is supplied with front and rear metal thread caps for dust protection during storage. With a weight of only 0.2 kg, it maintains excellent compactness and balance on the optical tube.
