125 mm Honders catadioptric astrograph with a 250 mm focal length and extremely fast f/2 focal ratio. The compact Sky-Watcher HAC125DX MiniGraph features a 16 mm image circle and a rear helical focusing system operating on the primary mirror.
Designed specifically for fast wide-field astrophotography, the Sky-Watcher HAC125DX MiniGraph is a Honders Advanced Catadioptric astrograph combining a 125 mm aperture with a very short 250 mm focal length.
Its f/2 focal ratio allows large amounts of imaging data to be collected rapidly while retaining an exceptionally compact optical system. At only 40 cm long and weighing 3.82 kg, the HAC125DX is particularly suitable for portable imaging configurations and compact mounts.
The Honders Advanced Catadioptric optical design combines refractive and reflective optical surfaces. The system incorporates a Mangin mirror with Radiant Aluminum Quartz RAQ coatings, while the corrector features HTMC coating.
Compared with the original HAC125, the HAC125DX introduces a rear focusing mechanism operating on the primary mirror. This provides compatibility with a wider range of cameras and makes focusing easier while the telescope is in use.
The 16 mm image circle is particularly suitable for compact cameras using sensors such as the IMX533 and IMX585. The specified maximum imaging camera payload is 300 g.
Honders Advanced Catadioptric Design
The HAC125DX uses a Honders Advanced Catadioptric optical design.
This configuration combines refractive and reflective optical surfaces in a system developed specifically for high-speed astronomical imaging.
Its 125 mm aperture and 250 mm focal length provide an extremely fast f/2 focal ratio.
