100 mm ED apochromatic doublet refractor with Japanese Ohara FPL-53 glass, 700 mm focal length and f/7 focal ratio. The Sky-Watcher Evostar 100EDX features a 2-inch 11:1 dual-speed Crayford focuser, 2.8-inch indexed drawtube and retractable dew shield.
Designed for astrophotography and visual observation, the Sky-Watcher Evostar 100EDX uses a 100 mm ED apochromatic doublet incorporating a Japanese Ohara FPL-53 glass element.
Its 700 mm focal length at f/7 provides an excellent balance of field of view, resolution and light gathering for deep-sky imaging as well as lunar and planetary observation.
The 2-inch dual-speed 11:1 Crayford focuser features a 2.8-inch indexed drawtube and integrated 360° rotatable adapter.
The aluminium optical tube incorporates internal baffling, a retractable dew shield, tube rings with carrying handle and a 45 mm dovetail bar.
FPL-53 ED Apochromatic Doublet
The 100 mm objective uses an ED doublet incorporating a Japanese Ohara FPL-53 glass element.
This design greatly reduces chromatic aberration and provides sharp, high-contrast images.
700 mm Focal Length at f/7
The 700 mm focal length and f/7 focal ratio make the Evostar 100EDX versatile for imaging and visual observation.
Its 100 mm aperture is suitable for star fields, clusters and nebulae as well as detailed lunar and planetary observation.

11:1 Dual-Speed Crayford Focuser
Focusing is provided by a 2-inch dual-speed Crayford focuser with 11:1 reduction.
