Description
The DayStar Filters SS80 Solar Scout Prominance is a professional dedicated Hydrogen Alpha (656.28 nm) solar telescope, optimized for viewing solar prominences.
It uses a quality achromatic 80mm doublet delivering a sharp, high-contrast solar image with an effective focal length of 1400mm. Manufactured by DayStar Filters USA, the SS80 is built for safety, stability, and precision.
Its lightweight aluminum optical tube ensures rigidity and portability. The front-end helical focuser provides smooth, accurate focusing with zero slippage or eyepiece rotation.
The Solar Bullet finder safely projects the Sun onto a white target screen, allowing precise and risk-free alignment.
The Prominance version enhances visibility of solar prominences, spicules, and filaments while maintaining balanced contrast on the solar limb.
