Description

The Baader Wide-T ring connects Leica, Sigma, and Panasonic cameras using the L-Mount to the Astro T-2 system via a built-in M42 x 0.75 T-2 thread. Its internal 46 mm clear aperture significantly improves image circle illumination, especially on full-frame sensors.

All Baader Wide-T rings include both the internal T-2 thread and an external S52 male thread. This design allows multiple connection possibilities:

• With the S52 to M48 adapter (#2958552), the ring converts to a standard M48 female thread.

• The S52 barrel (#2958551) allows direct use without T-2 step-down.

• Using the S52 to M68 adapter (#2458252), you can securely attach the camera directly to an M68 male thread for maximum optical throughput.

Additionally, the Wide-T ring can be connected to Baader’s UFC (Universal Filter Changer) using the S52 UFC camera adapter (#2459119), allowing quick filter changes directly in front of the sensor.

This system enhances illumination and reduces vignetting for large-format sensors by maximizing aperture clearance.
