Description:
The Tecnosky Newton 150/600 f/4 is a compact astrograph featuring a rigid carbon tube designed to ensure mechanical and thermal stability. Focus and collimation remain consistent throughout the night.
The interior is coated with matte black paint and includes multiple internal baffles to eliminate stray reflections. Both the secondary holder and the primary mirror cell are CNC-machined, ensuring precise and reliable optical alignment with no flexure.
Abandoning prefabrication in favor of fully machined aluminum parts, this scope achieves superior mechanical quality. The 2" monorail Crayford focuser (Tecnosky retrofitted) can handle heavy imaging loads and is compatible with major motor systems like EAF, iEAF, and Pegasus V-Cube.
The optical tube is only 490 mm long and weighs 4800 g, making it suitable for lightweight mounts like the iOptron HEM15, CEM26, or EQM35. Primarily intended for deep-sky photography, it also performs well visually on the Moon and planets.
Use of a coma corrector (not included) is recommended, such as the Tecnosky 0.95x or 1x ED models.
