Description:
The Baader 8" heavy-duty double mounting plate (570 mm) is designed to support two medium-sized OTAs—up to 17 inches—with a combined payload capacity of 100 kg. It is ideal for dual telescope setups on mounts such as the 10Micron GM 3000 or GM 4000, providing high mechanical stability and alignment precision.
The plate features a 203 mm (8") width and is pre-drilled to accommodate a wide range of clamps and accessories, including Baader PAN EQ clamps (190 mm, 230 mm, 370 mm) or an additional Baader 8" PlaneWave Clamp (#2451555), which also allows for lateral movement of the plate on the mount.
With its rigid design and modular compatibility, the 570 mm mounting plate is perfect for applications requiring synchronized use of two telescopes—whether for astrophotography, spectroscopy, or simultaneous observation with different optics.
