Description
The ADPS V (Afocal Digital Projection System) by Baader is a complete system for afocal imaging with digital cameras and camcorders using fixed lenses. This version includes an M44a to T-2a adapter, making it compatible with telescopes featuring an M44 threaded focuser, as found on certain classic or specialized instruments.

Afocal projection involves placing a projection eyepiece in front of a camera lens. This method requires exceptional mechanical precision to maintain close proximity between the eyepiece and the camera’s front element, preventing vignetting and ensuring sharp images. The ADPS system features a precision-engineered T-2 sliding focuser that allows fine control of the projection distance and includes a rotatable locking ring to freely orient the attached camera.

Three T-2 extension rings (2x15 mm and 1x7.5 mm) are provided to adjust the optimal distance between eyepiece and camera lens. This allows the user to fine-tune the image scale and composition. The system supports various digital cameras, camcorders, and any device with front filter threads using the optional DT adapter rings.

Built for maximum rigidity, the ADPS V ensures vibration-free, secure imaging sessions. Its modular design allows extension and customization with other Baader T-2 components.
