More than just a focuser, this kit also enables white-light solar viewing using a Herschel wedge or Ca-K solar observation with a dedicated Ca-K module. This makes the LS100MT capable of observing in H-alpha, Ca-K, and white-light—all with the same telescope.

This conversion kit is absolutely necessary for using the LS100MT as a general-purpose astronomical telescope.
