Description

The Askar 80ED imaging accessories are specifically designed to enhance the astrophotography performance of the Askar 80ED refractor. Three dedicated options are available : a 0.7x reducer, a 0.85x reducer and a 1.0x flattener.

The 0.7x reducer lowers the focal ratio to f4.9 while providing field correction. Its triplet optical design with ED glass is optimized for APSC sensors, delivering a resulting focal length of 392 mm and enabling wider fields with shorter exposure times.

The 0.85x reducer reduces the focal ratio to f5.9 and also includes field correction. Its triplet ED design is optimized for APSC imaging and results in a focal length of 476 mm, offering a balanced imaging configuration.

The 1.0x flattener maintains the native f7 focal ratio with a focal length of 560 mm. Its triplet ED design corrects field curvature and coma, producing sharper stars across the APSC field.

Each accessory features a standard 55 mm back focus from the M48 thread, an integrated M48x0.75 filter thread for 2 inch filters, and CNC machining with threaded metal caps. The Askar 80ED imaging accessory system also integrates a 360 degree field rotator, enabling precise framing when using all three correctors.
