DESCRIPTION

The Baader ASBF 50 mm solar filter enables safe solar observation and photography using binoculars or camera lenses. It features the trusted AstroSolar Safety Film OD 5.0 mounted without stress, ensuring diffraction-limited optical performance.

One side of the filter cell is trimmed to fit binoculars with tight bridges. The filter is secured with three adjustable centering bolts and three safety straps. Each filter is sold individually; two units are needed for binocular use.

The rigid filter cell is made of aluminum and stabilized plastic, with reinforced edges to protect the filter material. The OD 5.0 rating ensures that only a safe amount of white light passes through, blocking 99.999% of sunlight.
