The Baader UFC VariLock S70 extension tube is a precision-adjustable component designed for use within the modular UFC (Universal Filter Changer) system. Its key feature is the continuously variable optical path length, ranging from 15 to 20 mm, supported by a laser-engraved millimeter scale for fine tuning.

This versatility makes it ideal for setups requiring exact backfocus, such as those using field correctors, reducers, or HyperStar units. Rather than stacking fixed spacers, the VariLock enables fast, tool-free adjustment while maintaining collimation accuracy.

The telescope side connects via an S70 dovetail clamp, secured with included screws directly to the UFC Base (#2459110). The camera side features a standard S70 male dovetail profile, ensuring full compatibility with all UFC components like camera adapters or further UFC extensions.
