Description
The Baader M68a Inverter Ring (female to male) is designed to alter the mechanical configuration of M68 x 1 threads, a standard widely used in Zeiss optical systems and compatible equipment. It allows you to convert an internal M68 thread into an external M68 thread, offering maximum flexibility in adapting accessories.
This ring is especially useful in setups requiring a thread polarity change to maintain mechanical continuity, for example when mounting 2" or M68 accessories that require a male thread on the telescope or accessory side. It provides a secure, play-free fit ensuring perfect alignment and optimal rigidity, which are essential for astrophotography and high-resolution imaging.
Made from high-quality aluminium, it is precisely machined and features a matte black internal finish to reduce stray light and preserve image contrast. With zero optical path length (total mechanical thickness of 10 mm), it maintains your existing backfocus without significantly affecting focus position.
Thanks to its simple yet essential design, this inverter ring is a must-have for demanding users who require efficient, reliable, and durable adaptation of their optical train, whether for visual observation, planetary imaging, or spectroscopy.
