Description
The SP54i to M28a adapter is part of Baader Planetarium’s Hyperion DT-Ring series, designed for high-precision afocal projection. Its mechanical design allows the camera lens to be positioned extremely close to the eyepiece, reducing vignetting and improving image sharpness.

It is compatible with DT Adapter II and III, attaching directly to Hyperion 68° eyepieces. When used with Baader adapters #2458040 and #2958080, it also fits Morpheus 76° eyepieces. In certain setups, an SP54i / SP54a extension ring (#2958090) is required for proper connection.

This model is a reducing adapter with an M28 lens-side thread, suitable for certain compact cameras or optical modules featuring this diameter. With an optical length of only 1 mm, it ensures precise and stable alignment between the eyepiece and camera lens.

For DSLR users employing 2" filters, the adapter can be combined with the M48i to SP54a filter holder for (D)SLR (#2408166), allowing filters to be integrated into the optical path without increasing total optical spacing.
