Description
The SP54i to M46a adapter is part of Baader Planetarium’s Hyperion DT-Ring series, engineered for afocal projection with optimal optical alignment. Its mechanical design positions the camera lens as close as possible to the eyepiece lens, minimizing vignetting and improving image quality.
It threads directly onto Hyperion 68° eyepieces and, when paired with Baader adapters #2458040 and #2958080, is also compatible with Morpheus 76° eyepieces. It is compatible with DT Adapter II and III, allowing seamless integration into existing astrophotography setups.
With an optical length of only 1 mm, it ensures precise and stable positioning between the eyepiece and camera lens. This model is a reducing adapter with an M46 thread on the lens side, suitable for many compact, mirrorless cameras or lenses using this thread size.
For DSLR users employing 2" filters, it can be paired with the M48i to SP54a filter holder for (D)SLR (#2408166), enabling easy filter integration into the optical path without increasing optical spacing.
Precision-machined, lightweight (10 g) and durable, this adapter integrates perfectly into Baader’s SP54 modular system, ensuring a secure and long-lasting connection for afocal projection in astronomy.
