Description
The SP54i to M52a adapter is part of Baader Planetarium’s Hyperion DT-Ring range, engineered for optimal afocal projection photography. Its mechanical design enables the camera lens to be positioned as close as possible to the eyepiece, reducing vignetting and improving image sharpness.
This adapter is fully compatible with DT Adapter II and III, and screws directly onto Hyperion 68° eyepieces. When used with Baader adapters #2458040 and #2958080, it also fits Morpheus 76° eyepieces, extending compatibility to other premium eyepiece series.
With an optical length of only 1 mm, it ensures precise and stable alignment between the eyepiece and camera lens. As a reducing adapter, its M52 lens-side thread matches many cameras and photographic lenses with a standard front thread.
For DSLR users wishing to employ 2" filters, this adapter can be paired with the M48i to SP54a filter holder for (D)SLR, allowing easy integration of a filter into the optical path.
Precision-machined from lightweight yet durable aluminium (10 g), it integrates seamlessly into Baader’s modular SP54 system, providing a reliable long-term solution for afocal astrophotography.
