Adapter SP54i to M58a – Hyperion DT-Ring

Description
The SP54i to M58a adapter, part of the Hyperion DT-Ring series, is engineered to achieve the shortest possible distance between an eyepiece lens and a digital camera lens. This design minimizes vignetting and ensures sharper images in afocal projection setups.

It connects directly to Hyperion 68° eyepieces and, when paired with Baader adapters #2458040 and #2958080, also fits Morpheus 76° eyepieces. The adapter is compatible with DT Adapter II and III, making it easy to integrate into existing imaging configurations.

With an optical length of only 1 mm, it allows for optimal positioning of the eyepiece relative to the camera lens. This short spacing is especially beneficial for avoiding vignetting on large-format sensors.

For DSLR cameras using 2" filters, the SP54i to M58a can be paired with the M48i to SP54a filter holder for (D)SLR, allowing direct filter insertion into the optical path.

Manufactured by Baader Planetarium with precise machining tolerances, this lightweight yet robust adapter ensures a secure and wobble-free connection, delivering reliable performance for astrophotography.
