Sky-Watcher Skymax 127 AZ5 Télescope Maksutov-Cassegrain

Designed as a compact, powerful and easy-to-use observing system, the Sky-Watcher Skymax 127 AZ5 combines a 127 mm Maksutov-Cassegrain telescope with the AZ5 Deluxe alt-azimuth mount and an adjustable aluminium tripod.

Its long-focal-length optical system provides a 1500 mm focal length at f/11.8. This configuration is particularly suitable for detailed observation of the Moon, bright planets and double stars.

The optical system is multi-coated to maximise image contrast and sharpness. The primary and secondary mirrors also feature Radiant Aluminum Quartz RAQ coatings, providing reflectivity of up to 94% together with durability and long-term optical performance.

With its 127 mm aperture, the Skymax 127 gathers 55% more light than a 102 mm instrument. Combined with its long focal length, this aperture allows detailed high-magnification observation while retaining a compact optical tube.

The AZ5 Deluxe mount provides fully manual operation with slow-motion controls on both the horizontal and vertical axes. Flexible control cables allow precise adjustments when the observed object needs to be repositioned within the field.

The supplied erect-image diagonal produces an upright and fully corrected image. This allows the Skymax 127 to be used for high-power terrestrial observation as well as astronomical viewing.

A universal smartphone adaptor is included, allowing celestial images to be captured directly through the eyepiece.
