The Sky-Watcher CQ350 Pro SynScan features belt-driven motors, a dual 45/75 mm saddle, built-in cable management and a SynScan hand controller with more than 42,900 objects.
Designed as a robust equatorial platform for demanding astrophotography and observatory installations, the Sky-Watcher CQ350 Pro SynScan provides a 35 kg imaging payload capacity, excluding counterweights.
Its capacity places it between the EQ6-R and EQ8-R Pro while retaining a format that can also be used in the field when paired with the optional 20939 stainless-steel tripod.
The mount head weighs 18.5 kg excluding counterweights and measures 434 × 176 × 323 mm. Two 10 kg counterweights are supplied.
The CQ350 Pro uses high-precision hybrid stepper motors with belt drive on both axes. Its quiet operation, high resolution and selection of tracking and autoguiding rates make it suitable for high-capacity astronomical imaging systems.
A dual-fit saddle directly accepts both 45 mm and 75 mm dovetail bars, allowing a wide range of optical tubes and peripheral equipment to be installed.
Built-in cable management and onboard connectivity simplify equipment installation. Multiple USB ports, power outputs, an autoguider port and a camera shutter-release port are integrated into the mount.
The supplied SynScan hand controller contains a database of more than 42,900 celestial objects. Control is also possible from a Windows computer via USB or through the SynScan Pro apps for iOS and Android when using the optional Wi-Fi dongle.
35 kg Imaging Payload Capacity
The CQ350 Pro provides a payload capacity of 35 kg, excluding counterweights.
This rating is specified for imaging use and allows large optical tubes together with their photographic equipment to be installed.
Belt-Driven Motors
