Description
The iOptron HAE43C AZ/EQ SWG with iPolar is a dual Alt-Az/Equatorial mount from iOptron’s Strain Wave Gear series. Using harmonic drive mechanics on both RA and DEC axes, it provides exceptionally smooth tracking and excellent stability for astrophotography.
Weighing just 5.7 kg, it supports up to 20 kg of payload without counterweights, achieving a payload-to-weight ratio of 3.51. Its CNC-machined, black-anodized aluminum body ensures rigidity and long-term durability while remaining portable.
This version operates entirely via computer—no handset required. It connects through USB-C or Wi-Fi and supports ASCOM/Commander (Windows) and INDI (Mac OS) control systems.
The included iPolar electronic polar scope allows precise polar alignment in just a few minutes. An electronic friction brake ensures safe motion stop, while the integrated ST-4 autoguide port, dual Vixen/Losmandy-D saddle, and automatic zero-position search complete this advanced mount.
