Description:
The Vixen Porta II is a lightweight altazimuth mount engineered for quick, intuitive use without locking knobs. Thanks to its internal friction clutch system, azimuth and altitude adjustments are smooth and precise, ideal for manual tracking of celestial objects.
Equipped with dual slow-motion control handles for 360° movement, it allows fine tuning in both axes. Its Vixen-standard 43 mm dovetail saddle ensures broad compatibility with a wide range of refractors and compact telescopes up to 155 mm in aperture.
The included aluminum tripod ensures solid support and features a central tray to store eyepieces and accessories. A built-in tool, hidden under the rubber cap, lets users adjust axis tension as needed.
Easily detachable via a single M10 screw, the Porta II is a favorite among mobile astronomers who prioritize speed, portability, and reliability.
