Heavy-duty manual alt-azimuth mount designed for astronomical and terrestrial observation. The Sky-Watcher AZ4 Heavy Duty features separate altitude and azimuth clutches, a panning arm with two mounting positions and a 1.75-inch stainless-steel tripod.
Designed for both astronomical and terrestrial observation, the Sky-Watcher AZ4 Heavy Duty is a manual alt-azimuth mount focused on ease of use and smooth movement.
Separate clutches are fitted to the altitude and azimuth axes. They allow each axis to be controlled independently and the instrument to be positioned precisely during observation.
A panning arm is supplied with the mount. It can be fixed in two different positions to suit the chosen instrument and observing configuration.
Optical tubes attach to the mount using a standard Sky-Watcher dovetail bar.
An L-bracket is also supplied, allowing a spotting scope or camera to be attached easily.
This AZ4-2 version is supplied with a tripod featuring 1.75-inch stainless-steel legs for increased strength and stability.
