DESCRIPTION
The ZWO ASI461MM Pro is a professional cooled monochrome camera built for wide-field deep-sky and scientific imaging. It features the Sony IMX461ALR-C medium format CMOS sensor measuring 44 x 33 mm, delivering ultra-high resolution at 11,656 x 8750 pixels (102 MP) with 3.76 µm pixels. In Bin2 mode, pixels grow to 7.5 µm and full well capacity rises to 198Ke.
It has a native 16-bit ADC with 65536 levels, BSI architecture, 91% peak QE, and a read noise as low as 1.0e. With zero amp glow circuitry, this camera ensures exceptionally clean images even during high-gain, long exposures.
The integrated 512MB DDR3 buffer safeguards data transfers, and the two-stage TEC cooling system drops the sensor temperature 30–35 °C below ambient. An anti-dew polyimide heater prevents moisture on the front window (5W power consumption, user-switchable).
USB 3.0 connectivity ensures fast, lossless data transmission (5Gbps), and the dual USB 2.0 hub allows for connecting accessories like filter wheels or focusers. A 12V external power source is required for the TEC and heater.
