Description:
The Explore Scientific ED APO 102mm f/7 FCD-1 is a high-quality apochromatic refractor designed for both astrophotography and visual use. Featuring Hoya FCD-1 ED glass, it delivers well-corrected, high-contrast images far superior to standard achromatic or doublet systems.
The 2" rack and pinion focuser with 1:10 micro-reduction ensures precise focusing, even with heavy accessories. The aluminium tube weighs 4.9 kg and includes a Vixen-style dovetail bar, a 2" mirror diagonal with 99% reflectivity, a 2" to 1.25" adapter, and a mounting handle suitable for camera support.
With its 714 mm focal length and f/7 ratio, this refractor offers a balance between resolution and field of view, making it suitable for deep-sky imaging, as well as high-quality lunar and planetary observation.
