Description:
The Explore Scientific ED APO 80mm f/6 FCD-100 is a premium triplet apochromatic refractor for demanding astrophotographers and visual observers. It features high-grade Hoya FCD-100 ED glass for enhanced chromatic correction and excellent clarity, especially suited to modern sensors that are sensitive to blue light.
The aluminium tube combines mechanical strength with low weight (2.6 kg), making it ideal for transport and lightweight mounts. Its 2.5" HEXAFOC focuser with 1:10 reduction ensures smooth and precise focusing, even with heavy imaging setups. The large internal tube and focuser diameter prevent vignetting when used with full-frame sensors.
The telescope includes a 2" mirror diagonal (99% reflectivity), a 2" to 1.25" adapter, and dust caps. A finder bracket is provided, but no finder optics are included. It’s ideal for deep-sky imaging, high-resolution lunar and planetary observation.
