DESCRIPTION
The Sky-Watcher Evostar 72ED DS-Pro OTA is a compact refractor featuring a 72 mm doublet objective, including one Extra-Low Dispersion (ED) glass element. Each air-to-glass surface is multi-coated with Sky-Watcher’s proprietary Metallic High-Transmission Coatings (MHC), achieving up to 99.5% light transmission for optimal image brightness and contrast.
This optical tube includes a 2" dual-speed Crayford focuser with a 11:1 reduction for precise focus control, ideal for imaging applications. A dedicated 0.85x reducer/corrector (optional) is available to bring the focal ratio down to f/4.9. Please note that the 72ED has a different glass configuration than the 80ED, 100ED and 120ED models.
It comes with tube rings, a 45 mm Vixen-style dovetail bar with standard tripod threads, a removable dewshield, and an aluminium carrying case with internal compartments. Supplied without eyepiece, finderscope or star diagonal.
