Sky-Watcher StarTravel 150/750 OTA - Achromatic Refractor

Designed for wide-field observation, the Sky-Watcher StarTravel 150 OTA is a 150 mm achromatic refractor with a 750 mm focal length and a fast f/5 focal ratio.

The StarTravel range uses achromatic objectives composed of two air-spaced elements. This optical design reduces chromatic aberration compared with a single lens and forms the basis of this refractor's Rich-Field observing capabilities.

With its 150 mm aperture and relatively short 750 mm focal length, the StarTravel 150 is particularly well suited to exploring large areas of the sky. It can be used for observing star fields, star clusters, nebulae, bright galaxies and comets, while also providing views of planets and the Moon.

The telescope can also be used for solar observation when a proper and safe solar filtering system is installed.

Its short-tube design and f/5 focal ratio also allow the telescope to be used as a fixed-aperture lens for astrophotography and terrestrial photography. This configuration is particularly useful for photographing lunar and solar eclipses as well as nature subjects.

For terrestrial observation, the refractor can be used with an erecting prism. An erecting prism is not supplied with this version.

The StarTravel 150 OTA is equipped with a dual-fit focuser accepting both 1.25-inch and 2-inch accessories. Two 1.25-inch eyepieces, a 9x50 finderscope and a 1.25-inch star diagonal are supplied.

A direct SLR camera connection is also provided for photographic use.
