Designed for astrophotography and visual observation, the Sky-Watcher Evostar 80EDX uses an 80 mm ED apochromatic doublet incorporating a premium Japanese Ohara FPL-53 glass element.
Its 600 mm focal length at f/7.5 provides strong chromatic correction and makes the telescope suitable for both deep-sky imaging and lunar or planetary observation.
The 2-inch dual-speed 11:1 Crayford focuser features a 2.8-inch indexed drawtube and integrated 360° rotatable adapter.
The aluminium optical tube incorporates internal baffling, a retractable dew shield, tube rings with carrying handle and a 45 mm dovetail bar.
FPL-53 ED Apochromatic Doublet
The 80 mm objective uses an ED doublet incorporating a premium Japanese Ohara FPL-53 glass element.
