Sky Rover Banner Cloud 30-60x85 APO Spotting Scope

Designed for terrestrial observation where high image quality is essential, the Sky Rover Banner Cloud 30-60x85 APO combines an 85 mm objective with variable magnification from 30x to 60x. Its optical system focuses on chromatic correction, image sharpness and maintaining a comfortable field throughout the zoom range.

Using a triplet objective incorporating one Super ED element and one ED element, chromatic aberration is effectively controlled. Sky Rover specifies an Abbe number of up to 95 for the Super ED glass, helping minimise colour dispersion and preserve natural, detailed images.

A constant-field ultra-wide-angle zoom eyepiece complements the objective system. The field stop remains largely stable while zooming from 30x to 60x, providing a more consistent viewing experience without the strong apparent narrowing often associated with conventional zoom systems.

Aspherical lens technology contributes to maintaining sharp and clear imaging towards the edge of the field, reducing the peripheral loss of definition that can occur in traditional zoom optical systems.

High-quality optical materials, including lanthanum glass, are combined with extreme broadband XMC coatings. This combination is designed to maintain strong optical performance, contrast, light transmission and accurate colour reproduction.

With a linear field of view ranging from 44 to 22 m at 1000 m depending on magnification, the Banner Cloud 30-60x85 APO provides both relatively broad viewing at 30x and detailed observation of distant subjects at 60x.

An 18 mm eye relief contributes to comfortable viewing, while the 7.5 m minimum focusing distance also allows observation of relatively nearby subjects.

Using Sky Rover's Multi-Function Adapter Ring, the spotting scope can also accept compatible 1.25-inch astronomical eyepieces or electronic eyepieces. This expands the instrument beyond its standard zoom configuration and provides additional options for observation and imaging.

With waterproof construction and a weight of 2250 g, the spotting scope is intended for regular field use on a suitably stable support.
