Askar 0.8x Full-Frame Reducer for 140APO

Description

The Askar 0.8x reducer for the 140APO is an optical accessory specifically engineered to enhance the imaging performance of the Askar 140APO refractor. Once installed, it reduces the focal length to 784 mm and the focal ratio to f/5.6, delivering a wider field of view and shorter exposure times, ideal for large nebulae, star clusters and faint deep-sky objects. Its triplet optical design provides a corrected image circle covering full-frame sensors up to 44 mm. The reducer features a standard 55 mm back focus measured from the base of the M48 male thread. The front thread is M92x1. Camera-side adapters M54x0.75 and M48x0.75 are supplied, with the M48 adapter incorporating an internal 2-inch filter thread. The entire assembly is CNC machined and supplied with threaded metal dust caps to protect the optics when not in use.
