Description

The ZWO D70-M54F adapter is a dedicated accessory designed for imaging configurations using the ZWO OAG-L off-axis guider. It is required when the OAG-L is used without an EFW electronic filter wheel and enables the 55 mm back focus required by many optical correction systems.

In a standard configuration, the optical train consists of the telescope, ZWO tilt adapter, OAG-L, D70-M54F adapter and a cooled ZWO full-frame or APS-C camera.

Its robust mechanical design minimizes flexure and deformation, helping maintain precise optical alignment throughout the imaging system. This rigidity is especially important when using heavy cooled cameras and complex imaging trains.

The adapter is supplied with an additional adapter that allows the use of mounted 2-inch filters.

For full-frame 24 × 36 cameras, 1-inch sensors and smaller sensors, achieving a 55 mm back focus requires a 5 mm tilt adapter, a 17.5 mm OAG-L and an 11 mm T2 tilt plate.
