DESCRIPTION

The Baader Hyperion 24 mm eyepiece offers a 68° apparent field of view and is optimized for wide-field observing with outstanding edge sharpness. It belongs to Baader Planetarium’s modular Hyperion series and features a sophisticated optical design with 8 elements in 5 groups for detailed and contrast-rich views.

All optical surfaces are treated with Baader’s Phantom Coating® Group, a Zeiss-class 7-layer broadband multicoating optimized around 520 nm, the spectral region where the dark-adapted human eye is most sensitive.

This eyepiece includes two barrels (1.25" and 2"), both filter-threaded. Two camera connection threads are integrated on the eye side: M43 (for classical eyepiece projection) and SP54 (for afocal imaging with compact cameras and camcorders). All parts are precisely machined in metal and feature secure eyecup design and safety undercut.

The Hyperion 24 mm can also be used with Zeiss Diascope spotting scopes using the Baader bayonet adapter (#2454500). A stop ring (#2958097) can be added to ensure consistent focus when switching between eyepieces.

Supplied with dustcaps for all barrels and eyecup, a foldable eyecup, and a soft leather bag.
