DESCRIPTION

The Baader Hyperion 21 mm is a modular eyepiece with a 68° apparent field of view, designed for low magnification visual use and camera projection. It belongs to the fixed focal length Hyperion series from Baader Planetarium and features a solid mechanical and optical construction.

With 8 lenses in 5 groups, this eyepiece provides sharp and contrast-rich images across the entire field. The Phantom Coating® Group, a 7-layer broadband multi-coating system, is applied to all optical surfaces to suppress stray light and enhance transmission in the 520 nm region where the human eye is most sensitive under night conditions.

Two photo threads are integrated at the eyepiece top: M43 for standard eyepiece projection with T2 adapters, and SP54 for afocal projection with compact digital cameras or camcorders. The eyepiece barrels are fully threaded to accept standard 1.25" filters.

Focal tuning is possible with Baader’s 2" fine tuning rings (14 mm or 28 mm) or by adding 2" filters in the barrel. The 2" barrel is compatible with Baader’s stop ring (#2958097) for maintaining focus when switching eyepieces in a diagonal.

Compatible with Zeiss Diascope spotting scopes via the Baader 1.25" bayonet adapter (#2454500), the Hyperion 21 mm is extremely versatile for both visual and photographic applications.

Supplied with three dust caps, a foldable eyecup, and soft carry pouch.
