The Explore Scientific 68° Ar 34mm eyepiece (2") is designed for wide-field observing with a long 34 mm focal length and a 68° apparent field. It’s ideal for scanning large nebulae, open clusters and rich star fields, especially with short focal length telescopes or large Dobsonians.
Its waterproof, argon-filled housing protects against fogging, dust and fungus, ensuring long-term optical integrity. All air-glass surfaces are treated with 15-layer Enhanced Multi-Layer Deposition (EMD) coatings to boost contrast and minimize reflections.
Edge-blackened lenses suppress internal scatter and deliver higher contrast. With its generous eye relief and foldable rubber eyecup, it offers excellent comfort for all users, including those wearing glasses.
