200mm F/4 Newton Telescope with Carbon Tube - High-Quality Optics and Mechanics
The 200mm diameter and 800mm focal length F/4 Newton telescope is designed to deliver optimal performance for both astrophotography and visual observation. Thanks to its high-quality construction, this telescope ensures excellent thermal and mechanical stability, significantly enhancing image quality.
Key Features:
Carbon Tube: The carbon tube is not only lightweight but also exceptionally rigid and resistant to temperature fluctuations. This minimizes the risk of focus shifts or collimation issues, maintaining optical stability over time. The use of carbon also ensures superior durability compared to traditional materials, offering years of reliable performance.
Internal Tube Finish: The interior of the tube is coated with matte black paint to absorb excess light and reduce unwanted reflections. Additionally, several baffles have been installed along the tube to enhance image contrast by eliminating stray light that could compromise optical quality.
CNC-Machined Mechanics: All mechanical components are precision-crafted using CNC machines, ensuring exceptional accuracy. The secondary mirror holder, machined from solid material, guarantees that the secondary mirror remains perfectly centered with no flexure. The primary mirror cell, lightweight yet robust, is also CNC-machined and features ergonomic knobs for easy collimation.
High-Quality Hybrid Focuser: The 2" Monorail/Rack-pinion hybrid focuser is designed to handle heavy loads and offers fine adjustments with high precision. Featuring an M56 male thread, it is compatible with cameras and coma correctors. Additionally, it supports motorized focuser systems such as ZWO EAF, iOptron iEAF, and Pegasus Vcube.
Included Accessories: The telescope comes equipped with a pair of sturdy CNC rings, a 330mm Losmandy bar, and an additional Vixen bar on top for easy grip and simple mounting on mounts. The total tube length is 670mm, and the weight is just 6,800 grams, making it suitable even for smaller mounts such as the iOptron HAE29, GEM28, or Sky-Watcher EQ5.
Perfect for Astrophotography and Visual Observation:
With an F/4 focal ratio, this telescope is particularly suited for deep-sky photography, where the fast focal speed allows you to capture detailed images of faint objects such as nebulae and galaxies, especially when using narrowband filters. Despite its astrophotography focus, the 200mm F/4 Newton delivers excellent visual performance as well, offering sharp and bright views of celestial objects like nebulae, galaxies, the Moon, and planets.
Recommended Accessories for Astrophotography:
To achieve the best results in astrophotography, we recommend using a coma corrector such as the Tecnosky 0.95X or the 1x FF ED lens version, ensuring a corrected field of view and top-quality images.
