Description

The Askar 185APO 1x Full Frame Flattener is specifically designed for the Askar 185APO refractor. It does not alter the telescope’s native focal ratio, which remains f/7 after installation. Its primary function is to correct field curvature and coma, delivering a flat field and finer star shapes across the entire image frame.

This flattener uses a triplet optical design and supports a 44 mm full-frame image circle. The standard back focus is 55 mm measured from the base of the M48 male thread. It features an M92×1 front thread and includes M68×1, M54×0.75, and M48×0.75 adapters for flexible imaging connections. A built-in M48×0.75 2-inch filter thread allows direct filter installation. The entire unit is CNC machined and equipped with threaded metal caps on both ends to prevent dust when not in use.
