DESCRIPTION
The Celestron 0.7x focal reducer is engineered for EdgeHD 9.25" optics, featuring a four-element design with extra-low dispersion lanthanum glass. It transforms the focal ratio from f/10 to f/7, effectively halving exposure times while preserving the edge-to-edge sharpness of the native EdgeHD design.
With a 43% wider field of view, this reducer is ideal for capturing expansive targets like nebulae or large galaxies. A generous 60 mm clear aperture ensures compatibility with full-frame sensors and off-axis guiders, with an optimized 42 mm image circle.
The reducer threads directly onto the rear 3.25" port of the EdgeHD OTA, minimizing mechanical vignetting. Importantly, it preserves the same 146 mm backfocus used in native f/10 mode, ensuring seamless use of existing accessories and imaging setups.
Built with precision-machined aluminum, the assembly includes threaded dust caps to protect the lenses and ensure mechanical reliability.
