Description:

The ZWO FF80 is a 600 mm focal length, 80 mm aperture apochromatic astrograph designed for high-end imaging and observation. It uses a 4-element optical design, including a front triplet made with ED glass for excellent chromatic correction and contrast.

A rear field corrector ensures a flat image circle of 44 mm, making this instrument ideal for full-frame imaging sensors. The result is pinpoint stars and crisp images across the entire field.

Though compact, the FF80 refractor can reveal planetary details such as Saturn’s rings, Jupiter’s bands, and the Moon’s surface features. It also performs remarkably in deep-sky observation and astrophotography of nebulae, star clusters, and wide-field targets.

Its 3" Rack & Pinion focuser is dual-speed (10:1), 360° rotatable, and supports both 2" and 1.25" eyepieces and accessories. The rear thread is M76 x 1 mm with a 115 mm backfocus, and four adapter rings are included (M68, M54 x2, M48), with the M48 version accepting standard 2" filters.

The retractable dew shield, Vixen-style dovetail bar, transport handle, and threaded tube rings make this refractor both compact and robust for transport and setup.
