Description
The Baader ClickLock 2 inch to T2 M42 clamp is a high precision mechanical adapter designed to securely hold 2 inch accessories within the Astro T2 system. It is compatible with all components featuring a male M42 x 0.75 thread.
The ClickLock system uses a lever mechanism allowing fast and reliable locking without tightening screws. A rotation of about 20 degrees with light fingertip pressure is sufficient to firmly secure each accessory. This mechanical principle, derived from industrial engineering, applies uniform pressure on three sides, preventing tilt and ensuring excellent stability.
The integrated ratchet function provides acoustic and tactile feedback indicating the clamp position, allowing the user to confirm whether it is open or closed even in darkness. The compression ring is made of thick walled hardened bronze, maintaining its shape over time and holding accessories securely without causing scratches or pressure marks.
The clamp includes removable S52 to M48 and M48 to T2 reducer rings, increasing compatibility with various equipment. Its design is based on seven precision machined components ensuring high mechanical reliability and long service life. This system also allows upgrading standard clamps to the ClickLock system on different equipment.
