Weighing just 6.2 kg, the HEM44EC supports payloads up to 20 kg without a counterweight (and up to 25 kg with a 10 lb counterweight), making it ideal for both compact and mid-sized imaging setups. The RA axis is equipped with a high-precision encoder delivering real-time periodic error correction (RPEC). Control options are extensive: the HEM44EC can be operated via Windows PC using ASCOM/iOptron Commander, MacOS via INDI, smartphone/tablet using Commander Lite or SkySafari, and Raspberry Pi through INDI drivers. The Go2Nova hand controller is also included, featuring a database of over 212,000 objects.
